Fast cuts, dark imagery and a rising dramaturgy lead directly into the premise of the story: What happens if your nightmares don't go away as soon as you wake up?

The social media challenge called on the community to post photos of themselves asleep. Users could share their posts under the campaign hashtag and become part of the REM campaign. The main prize was an exclusive stay at a 5-star luxury sleep retreat - in keeping with the central theme of the book: sleep, dreams and the dark world of the REM phase.
