What does „identity-based brand communication“ mean?

Every creative initiative—whether it’s a campaign, a website, or a video production—stems from a brand’s core identity. That’s why we don’t start with aesthetics, but with the question: Who are you, really? Based on this identity, we create communication that is consistent, recognizable, and emotionally resonant—across all channels.

How long has brot & salz been around?

brot & salz was founded in Berlin in 2015. Since then, we have served over 100 clients in the fields of culture, entertainment, retail, law, finance, and the public sector. In 2025, we celebrated our 10th anniversary.

The core team is supplemented by a network of freelance specialists who are brought in on a project-by-project basis.

Does brot & salz work exclusively with Berlin-based companies?

No. We work throughout Germany and internationally. For many projects, a fully remote process is the norm. However, we prefer to conduct our CORE workshop—which takes place at the start of a collaboration—in person.

Marketing Agency FAQ: Methodology & Approach

What is the CORE Workshop?

The CORE Workshop is our proprietary strategic process for developing a brand’s core. In a short but intensive workshop format, we address a brand’s fundamental questions: Who are you? What sets you apart? What do you stand for? The result is a clearly defined brand core that serves as the foundation for all future communication efforts.

What is the contact point theory?

The Touchpoint Theory is a strategic framework developed by brot & salz to systematically map and design all touchpoints between a company and its target audience. In three steps, all touchpoints in corporate communications are identified, evaluated, and aligned with the appropriate brand strategy at the levels of design, copywriting, and behavior. This creates a coherent brand experience that meets the channel-specific requirements of modern marketing communications.
