Breaking Bread - The sharing of bread

The sharing of Bread is an ancient custom that originates primarily from Christianity. It symbolizes everything that Jesus Christ did in the name of God and serves as a reminder of the Last Supper.
The custom of sharing bread also exists in Islam and Judaism. It is a ritual performed by the highest-ranking person at the table and is intended to bring blessings and bring people together as a community.

Breaking bread
Symbolically, the sharing or breaking of bread does not stand for a certain meal, but for what is between the lines.

The sharing of bread in a group is intended to represent community and hospitality. It creates a feeling of warmth, connection and care. It also stands for the hope of being able to heal and rebuild all that is broken in us humans and in each individual person. At the same time, it is an invitation to open our hearts to each other.
